• Day 157: Tuesday June 5th

20:00 Objectos directos y objectos indirecto! Those two types of objects pretty much sum up the day in terms of frying my brain. Firstly, just indirect objects and then later using both direct and indirect in the same sentence… ergh! What can I say… ML was right… it's a mess! But of course so is English if you think about what do and did mean and how we use them.

After the minor headache that was school today DL met us tired students and we went shopping in preparation for the groups arrival for the CSU program.

So picture if you will, a grown lady telling you to add as many types of biscuits, cookies, chocolates and snacks in packs of 12 or 24 each into a shopping trolley.  To me it felt like the opposite to what you were always told as a child when you had to put things back as you were not allowed stuff.  The same also occurred with an excess amount of fruit juice drinks, black plastic bags and batteries.  It felt strange to shop in an American style too…

I bought some postcards using a discount from DL, then we all had ice cream during a huge torrential storm.  I had a "Sherbet scoop of Guabana" - this is the best icecream flavour ever if you get to try it do it!!! and another scoop of chocolate with mint which was also exquisite.  DL ran outside during the storm and meanwhile p-man and I worked on a practice shell-o-rama.

Homework, dinner and relaxing filled the rest of the night.
