• Day 154: Saturday June 2nd

17:00 5am start, a quick breakfast and coffee, then I went to meet P-man. WE waited at the gate then saw the L's with the 17 tubs of equipment for us to transport to the park.  The 'van' had turned up at the same time as if we had planned it, and it turned out the driver was the same guy I went to and back from visiting the Serpentario place all that time ago.

ML came along with us and in Puntarenas we had to find a place called King Chicken in order to stop off at a clinic but there were so many places with the name chicken in the name it took us a while using the knowledge of the locals.  Along the way I was looking out for the infamous iguana crossing signs yet saw none, and p-man told me a funny story about how as a child him and his friends smuggled vodka on a school trips past teachers by emptying a couple of cans from a pack of Mountain Dew and replacing it with vodka using a syringe so when replaced in the pack they all looked like Mountain Dew - dedication! He also told me about a "Mongoose Crapachino" coffee, make of that what you will…

We eventually arrived at the park with all 17 tubs intact and carried them in from the car park with the help of a female German volunteer. After a short breather we left the park back for the ferry and Monte Verde once more and on route to the ferry we saw a Spider Monkey (Mono Arana) walking upright like a person along the side of the road. We were told it was owned by someone that owns a hotel, and walking down the road it attracted quite a bit of attention.

The Emptiest Ferry (D.Philpot)
At the ferry again we saw Frigates and Pelicans dive-bombing bait fish at the waters surface.  When we reached Monte Verde again we updated DL, had dinner and then I returned to my host family where I slept with Perla their dog.
